Ascension Episcopal School Pollinator Garden
My first pollinator garden that I designed and built as my senior capstone project at Ascension Episcopal School. Most of the garden was planted with the endangered local genetics of Cajun prairie plants. This garden was my first experience planting a larger scale perennial garden and it was amazing to watch how it evolves through the seasons and how much it increased the biodiversity of the school.
LSU Wilson Laboratories Pollinator Garden
My second school pollinator garden and my first on LSU's campus in Baton Rouge. With only a small 10' x 18' to work with, this project proves how much biodiversity can be packed in to a small space. I was amazed by how many different insects were able to find it in the middle of LSU campus.
LSUĀ Art and Design Pollinator Garden
My second pollinator garden on LSU's campus in Baton Rouge. This location was a practiceĀ pollinator garden design for LSU Landscape Architecture students and I was able to raise money through LSU student government to turn this purely conceptual project into a reality. Half of this site is shaded by a majestic live oak, making it the perfect location toĀ showcase some of the beautiful shade-adapted pollinator plants like turk's cap, indian pink, cutleaf coneflower, and woodland phlox!
